I bought this as a gift for my sister; her and her family travel a lot and they came to visit me from overseas, and this Convertible Car Seat and Stroller was incredibly helpful during their trip. We went to many places during their visit and her baby was comfortable and didn't even wake up when we switched the car seat into the stroller mode or viceversa. It saves time, money, and space because it has multiple functions. The instructions are not very helpful, but if you make sure you understand how it works (before you sit the baby in), you won't need instructions anymore. You may need someone to help you change settings (at least while you get used to it). My sister was able to take the stroller/seat with her in the airplane so that made their trip back home more pleasant. It was money well spent. :)

Paid for itself after one round trip flight!

This sit and stroll was used for a round trip flight out of the country with a 2.5 year old who weighs about 32 pounds. We read other reviews before buying it, read all the directions carefully, and practiced with it for 2-3 weeks before using it. Additionally, we had our son get used to his "airplane seat" as well and made sure everything was adjusted properly to fit him. Because he weighs a lot we only switched it from sit to stroll position twice with him in it, otherwise we had him out of it when switching it back and forth. It was great getting him through customs, immigration, etc. We had him sit in it the during the flight and on both trips he slept comfortably at least 2 hours each way in it. I could see how a shorter child might have problems with the strap that goes over the seat and being uncomfortable, but he had no problems. It does not have the feel of an ultra sturdy stroller so we were careful when going over rough roads and sidewalks and never had a problem. It was great to put in and out of the vans and buses to get us to our hotel and to and from the airport. Other parents and non parents made a lot of comments about how great it looked. Not sure how long it will hold up, but so far so good. Would definitely recommend!

I have a 9 month old daughter & I ordered this stroller for her to go on an overseas trip. We flew from Houston to London and stayed a week and then flew to Copenhagen and got on a cruise ship and then flew back to London and back to Houston. This stroller was amazingly easy in the airport. TSA in the USA was a little confused and wanted it to go through the x ray machine but it is too big for that. It has to be patted down. What an easy conversion from the car to the stroller for the airport and then back to a seat again for the plane ride. The only complaint that I would have was that the handle is a little rickety but the stroller made it through our whole trip and nothing broke & we were gone for 17 days. Also, in many of the old towns we visited the front wheels would get stuck between stones on the cobblestone streets. That was the only real issue. In the London Underground (subway) it was also easier to have 2 people: 1 to carry the baby and 1 to carry the stroller down the escalators (they had no elevators in most of the stations). Otherwise no complaints and very pleased. It was even great on the cruise ship. Easy to get around, easy to push with one hand through the airport. I will be taking this stroller on every trip we go on while I have a child stroller age. Also, all the countries we visited were very helpful and even pulled my husband and I aside to go through a special and shorter family lane when going through security. On another note, I contacted the manufacturer before I decided to order this stroller and I received a personal email response and regular responses to every question I had. They even sent me links to videos on you tube to see how the stroller worked since I didn't have a retailer in my area and would have to order the stroller online.

We had an older model of this seat from a friend and liked most of it a lot. However, we were really unhappy with how it secured in the car and were hoping they may have made improvements. Thus we bought the new model to try it out. It has really not been improved at all in that regard. In order to secure it to the car you have to put the seat belt or latch straps over the car seat (and your child). You cannot take your child in and out without unattaching the seat from the car (and thus re-attaching when you put your child back in). In the rear facing position it is very difficult to near impossible to get a secure fit in the car (in fact the manual even says if it is not secure in the car, try moving it to a different position in the car, and if you still cannot get it secure, do not use it. It also says it may not be possible to safely secure it in all cars. Not very helpful for a travel car seat given you are likely to use it in a rental car and won't know if it works or not until you get there.) In the forward facing position it is much easier to secure it. However, you do still need to unattach every time you take your child in or out. The biggest downside forward facing is that the car's seat belt or latch straps go directly over your child's arms preventing her from lifting her arms. My daughter was not too fond of this as she does not like to have her movements restricted (and the car seat is restrictive enough in her mind). When it is not attached to the car, the seat seemed very comfortable for her (like when we used as a stroller). The stroller as you can see has no storage compartment underneath, but handles well and is easy to steer with one hand--helpful when pushing stroller through airport while also pulling/carrying luggage. If it weren't for the way it attached to the car, I would give it 4 or 5 stars for sure. However, because of this we returned this car seat and have ordered a Diono Radian car seat. It is not also a stroller, but is compact enough to travel with and will fit on airline seats. I do really wish they could change that one feature of the Sit 'N Stroll though as it was nice not to have to take a stroller and car seat with us.
