Now a days, it's hard to find a powerful laptop without paying over $1000 dollars. What's worse, it's even harder to find one with a dedicated graphics card. However, this puppy takes the cake. With a dual core i5 processor, 4th standard ddr3 1066mhz ram, 500gb hdd, and a 1gb ddr3 dedicated nvidia card, this will provide all the performance you need. Gamers, with optimus technology, your computer will provide power when you need it, and save it when you don't. This is the perfect buy. Pros: excellent graphics, even up to 56fps in starcraft 2 on high settings. Powerful computations, quick memory, and excellent storage and battery life. Cons: when the graphics card is on, the computer fan blows out hot air like a hair dryer, however it has great ventilation to not overheat the computer itself, just raise room temperature.
Thank you Acer for developing a powerful gaming laptop with a dedicated graphics card without paying over $1000. It is a super buy.
Pros: Intel i5 with 2.3 with turbo boosting to 2.9 (you can see the difference in the games and daily programs). It has 4 Gb of ram, with 500 Gb hard drive and the NVidia card is amazing picture quality.
Cons: To extend the life of your laptop, you have to buy a cooling pad to use while playing games.
This laptop is a great value. It's fast enough for any gaming applications, and if your like me and just use it for business applications, you'll have more than enough power. I did a lot of research on the i5 & i7 processors. The i5 will give you all the juice you need. I couldn't justify spending the extra money on a processor that rates the same, and runs hotter. You will be happy with this purchase. The keys are quiet, it's got good battery life, and the build is excellent. I'm on this laptop 50+ hours a week and haven't had a hiccup yet. Acer did an outstanding job with this model.
A great computer for the money. Runs fast, clear graphics.
