The Winchester shooting stick certainly does the job in helping you stabilize your rifle when there is nothing else to rest on however it is a bit flimsy. The grip is very comfortable and the "V" supports the gun nicely and fully closed it fits anywhere. Plust you can't beat the price. When extended about halfway it's pretty stable if shooting from a seated or kneeling position but when fully extended its not that sturdy. I have a 308 with composite stock so a heavier rifle with wood stock might have an issue. Considering the other "higher end" brands are up to five times as expensive it's still a good buy but these observations are just something to keep in mind. Hope that helps.
Not worth having. Material is so flimsy it bends and wobbles so, you cannot hold on target. My weapon weights six pounds. This rest will "NOT" support my rifle. It slides down and will not lock in position. Very bad purchase. A total failure for Windchester.
I had this stick for a while before actually trying it out and was very upset with the results when I did. It is Flimsy and just the weight of a lightweight rifle and a simple twist was enough to snap the top right off. I think it would serve better as a fishing pole holder the way it broke so easily. In my opinion it's not worth the 10$ and am disappointed in Winchester for putting out such a cheap and flimsy product. I would recommend a thorough lookover before buying it.
Lower section of shooting stick is too small and bends easily.
Very nice stick it's great to have one when you need it, and for $ten bucks its a no brainer
