Bought because my 2 year old is CRAZY about the Polar Express. Is perfect for him. We already had the G gauge big one, but too big for our house. This little train has a nice track that doesn't seem like it will come apart too easily like some of the Thomas the train ones do. My little one loves from the movie when he says" All aboard", and this train says that and whistles. Also drives pretty smooth. Even came with Caribou. Best part was I bought it on Amazon for $34.24 new with free shipping!!!

My 3yr old son loves this train set. The remote is very simple for him to use. I could even see a 2yr old working this train. It was fairly easily to assemble, and we had it together in no time. The way it snaps together makes it sturdy. It is a little bigger than expected but I'm fine with that. And the price is not too bad. The picture that comes with it is a cardboard cut out that I decided not to include when putting the set together because it cheapens the look of the train set. My only problem is that the sounds come from the remote control and not the train itself, but no big deal. But the sounds are realistic and sound like the conductor from the movie (only one saying though). Oh, and it's a little noisy (even my son said something) without any volume control, but no louder than to be expected from a child's toy. You can easily tape something over the two little speakers, if you don't mind the look of it. Lastly, the train does not always stop when the remote is in "neutral" position, and I'm not sure if it eats up batteries but I always use rechargeable ones (you'll need 6 AAA all together).
