If you own an aquarium with a plastic lip around the top, like many do, this light WILL NOT FIT!!
I contacted the manufacturer about the problem, and the fact the instruction manual shows the light attached to something protruding from the aquarium and this was their actual e-mail response;
"The clip has to be attached to aquarium side, if you have those top cover, suggest modify the top rim and open it for attaching the clips.
For product return please contact Walmart directly."
I e-mailed them back specifically about the illustration showing something in the drawing sticking above the tank the light is attached to, and they did not reply!!
Seems they should have a warning about tanks with lips, like many of the ones Wal-mart sells.
I actually got mine working by making my own mounting bracket using suction cups attached to a piece of plastic. If you don't mind making a bracket, it is actually a nice light.
The lights are very strong, but the unit it's self is smaller than I thought for our tank size.
It's alright for what it is although a bit expensive. I have it on a HOB refugium and the macro algae is growing. I only use the white and blue lights. It doesn't remember your previous settings so you have to turn the others off again.
