Perfect sized day bed..
This day bed was the perfect size for my guest bedroom ! It took my son and I a while to put it together but we did it with no problem . I love the way the trundle slides underneath the bed with no problem . The design is is simple but yet fashionable to go with any room decor. The only thing that I would suggest is to purchase a bunkie board for underneath the mattress for more support and to prevent the mattress from sagging. I would definitely recommend this day bed for a teen's room , a child's room or the guest bedroom.
I was surprised and pleased with this daybed. It came with excellent directions and everything needed to assemble. It was easy to assemle and in less time than expected. My 8 year old grandson helped. It is an attractive addition to our home. I actually put it in our game/exercise room for added sleeping for guest. It is very well made and light weight could be moved to another room with ease if needed. It would very well go with any decor. I tried an air mattress on it just to see how it would work out but I have ordered a memory foam mattress for everyday use and will use the air mattress on the trundle for children or so it could possibly store the luggage or sleepover bag out of sight during the day if not needed for sleeping and since it is in our game room. I would definitely recommed this daybed to friends or family members. Attractrive, Sturdy and Easy to assemble. Will use a few times a year.
this bed is an absolute steal at this price. great quality, assembles easily and is rock solid once out together. looks expensive in person just like in the pic. grab it!
I put this in my guest bedroom. It was pretty easy to assemble. My sister has slept on it twice and loves it so much she wants one for her house. It's simple and stylish. Takes up far less room than a full or queen sized bed, but still room to sleep 2 people with the handy dandy trundle! My only negative is I wish the print on the instructions was bigger- had a hard time reading it.
Bed is great. Packaging needs work
This bed is a nice sturdy, good looking piece of furniture. It took about 2 hours to assemble. Instructions for assembly were clear and concise. all of the tools that should have been needed were included. I had to use a pair of pliers to fix part of the frame that had been bent because I believe it fell out of the shipping carton. The bed is heavy and the carton was nearly destroyed. it had been taped together but was still in bad shape. luckily there was not even any cosmetic damage. There was extra hardware included, which is always a plus. Takes two twin size mattresses which are not included. Weight capacity on top bed is 400 pounds and 250 on the trundle.
Great well made daybed with trundle.
This Queer Eye Leopold daybed with trundle is great! I really wasn't expecting this bed to be much more than another wobbly rickety bed that would last a year or 2. I was completely wrong! This is a solidly built well designed piece of furniture that will last a lifetime! It's heavy now so I suggest 2 people put it together. Once we got the mattresses on and the daybed ensemble on it really came to life. I added 3 king sized pillows to the back and 2 standard pillows at either end. The girls love it and has given them another place to play during the pandemic. Another winner for Walmart!
Nice, sturdy, stylish daybed!
I received this daybed to give an honest review. To begin, the box came broken apart, with parts exposed...this accounts for the four instead of five star rating. Maybe better, stronger packaging would be good. We weren't sure if any of the parts would be broken or missing, but all 200-250 pieces were still in the box and seemed to be in good condition. Yes, there were many, many parts to assemble, and when they all were laid out around the room, it looked a bit daunting to put together, but with another person to help hold things it wasn't that bad. The final product feels very sturdy with a mattress on it and there are no squeaks! The black metal frame is surprisingly smooth and has a nice feel. The trundle is an extra bonus! This is a great addition for a small space, or an office that will double as a guest room.
Minimalist design style
The pro: A nice bed for those who love the minimalist furniture decorating style but it also has some decorative design elements on the back and side support panels. Simple, clean style of silhouette with rounded corners for those of us who are clumsy and can never seem to avoid sharp pointy objects. Your mattress is supported on metal slats so you don't need a box spring mattress. The trundle is also nice for those times when you have an unexpected guest. It just rolls right out from underneath the bed but locks in place when not in use.
The con: I appreciate that the manufacturer needs to product the product from the rigors of shipping, but, the product was over-packaged, and between unpacking, confirming all the parts were there, trying to figure out the assembly directions and finding out that some of the parts don't fit (good thing I had tin-snips), it took over 4 hours for complete assembly.
Did not meet expectations
I'm not in the habit of leaving bad reviews, but I found this bed frame with trundle left a lot to be desired. 243 pieces made of cheap metal and plastic aren't my idea of a fun afternoon. The directions were good enough. It was simple to put together, but tedious is an understatement. It came with a monkey wrench and 2 Allen wrenches (both cheap). They did throw in a few extra clips and bolts. The castors have to be so tight the way they have you secure them that they bend. It will support children (that wouldn't ever jump on the bed) but a good sized adult would probably do the frame in. The only pro I found is that the trundle slides in and out very well.
Team Too Much Award
*The bed took me "two days" to put together. Even though I am 68 years old and a bad leg from a fall I was able to do this by myself with no one to help. The design is very nice and sleek and the bed looks awesome once constructed and the room I put it in needs to be redesigned. It is a very large bed and "huge" is my description. What I had trouble with is missing parts (trundle wheel only had three), one bent slat which had to be hammered down, missing screw-one and one screw hole on right side of frame that was to large for any screw I had on hand. It still remains sturdy and finally most important locating instructions which are not included in the box to save paper and ink (**can print out above from Walmart site). Is this a project, yes. Is it rewarding once it is finally complete, yes. Do this when you are not tired, in a hurry and by all means read the instructions, follow the pictures and match screws with picture on instructions manual. Gave this a two stars because of the missing items. **The bed itself is very nice once done but a lot of work. That's designers for you..... "team to much". (smiling) I design, so I know all to well. *****Not recommended for children under 4 years of age on the instructions. There are also over 150 parts and small pieces that need to be assembled and attached.
GREAT FOR A SPARE ROOM
Very happy to try this out. I had one twin mattress when this product arrived and when I discovered it was a trundle bed as well double happy cause I got friends with kids who like to come visit and now I have enough places for everyone to sleep without having to sleep on a hard floor or the couch. During the day u can keep throw pillows on it whatever. Definitely would recommend. No box spring needed.
Perfect day bed
We received the leopold metal daybed after thinking about switching out a beautiful little futon for something more practical. This fit the bill perfectly. Don't be alarmed by all the pieces when you first open the package. 90% are the metal poles that fit across for support of the bed and trundle. We both were a bit overwhelmed when we opened the box. Two people make the assembly quick - less than 40 minutes. It stands high, so if you need under the bed storage as we do, it is perfect. Purchased a very nice day bed set from Walmarts also and it looks wonderful. It will be a pleasure to ask an overnight guest to sleep on it.
This is a simple and beautiful piece of furniture... This is the first daybed we have had. I am very happy with it, it has a simple, clean look and seems to be sturdy and well made. My fifteen year old son put it together in about an hour. He said he directions weren't the easiest to follow but he had no trouble figuring it out. My daughter has been sleeping on it and is delighted with it. The trundle is well built and rolls in and out from under the bed smoothly... No issues with it rolling on our carpet.
I definitely would recommend this piece of furniture!
So excited for this Bed
I've been looking for a trundle bed for a while when this one foubd me! My son has outgrown his previous bed and we were looking for a daybed option that fits his new room decor. He's lucky enough to have 2 mattresses and this is a perfect option to store the extra matress and use for when he starts having sleep overs. It's got a cool industrial feel aesthetically. So grateful for this cool find.
The product I received was actually the twin sized black trundle bed by Queer Eye. The product is very good and sturdy. It was simple enough to put together and came with all the required tools necessary. The bed frame is a rich color black and matte not shiny. It fit my twin sized mattress in a box from Walmart decently. This is a good product that I would recommend to people looking for trundle beds.
received this daybed a few days ago. Put it together and it's lovely. Clean lines, very smart look. Assembly was easy with good instructions. I was surprised how sturday it is and love the fact their is a trundle. We will use this in a small nook of our home to make room for extra visitors like my ever growing brood if grandchildren. Its a great addition to our home.

This product is such great quality and you cant beat the price!
Good quality and sturdy bed. Took a bit of work to assemble but turned out well without issues.
Like the bed very easy to assemble, need two people. Didnt like trundle, it doesn't rise up to meet the bed just slides out and under bed. Granddaughters love it....
