One of the best features is the double wall design. Even with a bottle full of ice water, it doesn't sweat at all. The bottle is always dry on the outside, which is great since you don't have to worry about dripping everywhere. The straw stays in the bottle very securely and is easy to remove for cleaning.
For cleaning, it does mention to put it on the top rack. It won't stand up, but you can easily lay it down and still have it cleaned effectively. I would, however, recommend not putting the straw in there as well. It will bow up. I would clean that separately. While it may not fit in all cup holders, this is designed well enough to where you can flip it upside down and it won't drip. Therefore, you can place it next to you without worrying about it spilling everywhere.
For the price and design, I strongly recommend getting it.
I recently purchased the Cool Gear 28 oz Tritan cup. I really like the fact that it doesn't sweat! I can use it on my computer desk without worrying about tipping it over, the base is solid, nor do I have to worry about condensation ruining papers. It fits into my cup holders in my truck but I have two sizes. I hand wash my dishes so I do not have a problem with the dishwasher. My husband is very picky and he liked mine so well we bought him one. I only wish they had included a freezer stick with it, I have been trying to find one since it has the place in the cap to hold it. It is insulated so my ice doesn't melt too fast. I recommend it.
The other reviewer pointed out that this item is to be put only in the top of a dishwasher, yet doesn't fit. I just lay it on its side and it comes out fine. I use it daily for water. It fits in the cup holder in my car just fine. The only thing I don't like about the product is that it uses a straw. I couldn't find anything in this price range that I liked better. The straw stays in well though and is easy to remove for cleaning.
I love how it warns you "top rack dishwasher safe" when it doesn't actually fit in the top rack of a standard home dishwasher. Who designed this thing? Didn't they even bother to check to see if it actually fit in any dishwasher?
If you don't mind washing the thing out by hand, then it's a fairly good enough buy, just don't expect it to fit in any cup holders either.
It's too bad. I really needed one my disabled mother could use. Oh well.
