While renovating my home, I ran into a problem painting the popcorn ceilings. I used various ceiling paint products before talking to a sales representative at Walmart. He recommended Glidden ceiling paint because he believed it was lighter in weight than other ceiling paints I used. I purchased the product on his recommendation, and the ceiling paint worked well. I did not experience the peeling of the popcorn from the ceiling like I had with other paints. In addition, the rep gave me suggestions on how to paint the ceiling, I.e., don't use too much paint, paint the ceiling in sections and roll in 1 direction (vertically), then roll the same section (horizontally) preventing the need for a 2nd coat. He also sold me a great primer for my walls and doors, "Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer for all Purposes." I applied it on my aluminum type front door before painting, and the acrylic paint I used on top of it spread on easily and covered in 1 coat. Wish I had known that before painting a door prior that took 3 coats of acrylic paint to cover. I also bought the acrylic paint from him too. Moreover, I used the primer in the dining room and the subsequent paint over the primer looked great. Had already painted the living room before I purchased the primer and it took 3 coats of paint to cover and still dosen't look as well as the dining room. As a consequence of speaking to this sales rep, I have been back to Walmart 4 additional times to buy paint for my continued renovations. I even bought outdoor porch paint (already mixed light gray) that transformed the look of my porch. I don't know the name of the rep but I would like to thank him for his knowledgable assistance on that occasion. The prices are also much better than those at other stores.
