This movie adaptation of The Tempest is incredibly dull, even for Shakespeare. And the special effects of Ariel are laughable and look like something from a low-budget, cheesy B-Movie. If you want a Shakespeare play that translates well to film, I would suggest Romeo and Juliet (1996) with Leonardo Dicaprio and Claire Danes or A Midsummer Night's Dream (the 1999 version with Kevin Kline and Rupert Everett). Don't waste your time with this one. It's nearly two hours of my life that I'll never get back.
