I fully researched all of the Geocaching GPS receivers out there. You HAVE to subscribe to the Groundspeak website to use the paperless caching on ANY GPS. But you can enter coordinates manually for free. Also, you can get aerial imagery from Magellan for $30 a year.
I fully understood this, and this is the case for most all GPS receivers. They will tell you where you are, but the fancy topo maps or satellite images are merely overlays that are optional.
*HINT* This unit works great with a screen protector, and stylus from a Nintendo DS!
Someone complained about the touch screen. The whole unit's a little thick, but its WATERPROOF!!!
Doesnt bother me one bit to actually pay for plastic, and get a lot of it. The beefy plastic makes this unit durable and drop proof.
I bought this, and factored in $30 for aerial images, and another $30 for the Geocaching deluxe membership. Everything I needed to Geocache in style for $300.
