I did buy this video and a few other of the Gold's Gym DVDs. What isn't mentioned is that the different DVDs use pretty much the same video segments. If you buy more than one video, you are going to see the same 10 minute Cardio Blast segment, the same 10 Ab workout. etc. If you are looking for variety these Gold Gym DVDs are a complete waste of money. No wonder the price is so cheap at $6. The manufacturer just recycled that same video clips over and over again and just slapped on a different photo and title for each of the videos.
I am very hesitant to buy workout dvds before reading reviews or watching clips. It was a big risk for me to buy this dvd because it had neither. However, I did buy the dvd and here is my review: Pros:
-3 separate workouts; lower body, upper body, and cardio. Also an option to play all.
-3 instructors; each used different mediums: dumbell, kettlebell, and body weight. This is great for modification.
-Good price (only $6!).
-Simple equipment needed; dumbell/kettlbebell and step. Although I don't have a step, I was able to modify the cardio workout easily. Cons:
-The upper body workout has few ques to follow
-No warm-up, cool-down, or stretch Overall this was an EXCELLENT dvd that I will be sure to do again. I am glad that I took a risk on this one :)
I always hate workout videos, but too cheap to get a gym membership.... After seeing the workouts were only 10 min at a time I thought I could do that! I was shopping and happend to see seeral in the sale area so I got 4 ( just incsae I got bored with one).
After I did the Lower body workout I hurt for 3 days and I thought I was in ok shape just needed to tone up. It is just a 10 min workout but it is a good one. I am starting them again... and I konw they will work!
I really like this workout because each one is 15 mins . You can do each one or you can do the same one more than once. I'm always sore the next day. I buy a lot of videos because I to mix it up. I do at least 3 different videos a week.
