I was excited to receive this heavier-than-normal package from Fedex. The genset weighs about 70 lbs. Humped it out to the garage, de-boxed it, filled it with oil (exact amount supplied in box), then I put 1.65 gallons of mid-grade gasoline in the tank (safe capacity). Fired it off without a hitch. Runs great - quiet, powerful, and adjustable. The econo mode pretty much powers everything I need for my truck camper, and when it gets hot and I need AC while boon-docking, I kick it over to full power and it handles my 20 year old 13K BTU AC unit just fine - no noticeable strain or hiccup. Not sure what the whole fuss is about with other reviewers who cannot get it to run their AC. The one small problem: It leaks gasoline! Not a good problem to have. However, I weighed my options carefully. De-fueling, and de-oiling this thing in order to return it did not sound like my cup o tea. So I decided to find out where it was leaking and fix it myself. I discovered that it would only leak when the fuel petcock (fuel supply) was opened. I opened the fuel supply. I took off the large service door and observed the leaking. I was leaking pretty fast (drip drip drip) from one of two small translucent fuel filters - the leaker was the bottom-most filter. I clamped off the fuel line on either side of the filter, then detached the hose clamps from either side - inlet and outlet - of the filter, then removed the filter, examining it in bright sunlight. It was cracked! My neighbor works on mopeds all the time so he had a spare gasoline filter that we installed. Problem solved. No more leaks. I am sending the cracked filter to Hyndai in order for them to send me a replacement. Otherwise, a fantastic value. Hyundai is a brand you can trust, and why spend the extra 1K for the competition?
