When I was single I lived for many years in an...umm..economy apartment. It had a very limited kitchen with a stove (if you could call it that) that didn't work well at all. I had a small toaster oven. I used that toaster oven to make everything, including little pies, meatloaf, pizza and even quick breads. We also have a cheap toaster oven in our camper and have used it to make all sorts of stuff from muffins to garlic bread. I even made my son a birthday cake in it one year. At home we now have a great oven but it takes forever to heat up and it seems almost ridiculous to use it to make a dozen chicken nuggets. On a recent trip to Walmart I came across this unit for less than $30. I figured I had little to lose and bought it. I'm surprised how well it works. So far we have made refrigerator cookies, muffins, chicken nuggets and pizza in it. The back of the unit curves out so it will accommodate a 12" pizza...cool. Everything has turned out well...now I have to try it with toast! I think it would be perfect for anyone who wants a small countertop oven but doesn't want to spend a lot. Who? College students, people with efficiency apartments, folks with vacation cabins and, of course, me!
