I've had the VHS and DVD version of all 3 specials for about 25 years now. The DVD was always nice enough. After seeing all the glowing reviews for the Blu-ray, I decided to take a chance on the upgrade (Blu-ray/DVD 6 disc box). Gladly, I only paid Walmart's $15 plus shipping. The remastered DVD is a nice upgrade to the original DVD. But there isn't much change from the Remastered DVD to the Blu-ray. As this is a 45 year old animated special with no great detail to begin with, in retrospect, I don't think it was worth spending the money for the upgrade to Blu-ray. Don't get me wrong, it looks very good. But when you already own a recording, you have to also think in terms of incremental value.
