This is my first product review. I bought this bike for my Great grandson who is a tall 4 1/2 year old.
It went together in 1/2 hour by myself and a 16 year old cheerleader friend.
It's such a wonderful bike with real alloy rims, lightweight alloy frame, and tires that inflate and spin so well, they make his first bike a real breeze to ride.
The seat is already 1/2 way up, so I debated about trading in for the 20 inch. But after reading REI's website on bike safety and teaching your child to ride, I decided it's safer and better to stick with this one. He will probably get 2 years of happy riding out of it, will probably ride overy day.
If you can afford it, I would definitely spring for this great value bike, the quality is worth it to me.
Some of the screws for the lights are missing, I figure they fell out during shipping, calling the company tomorrow for replacements, their help number is right on the bike, no worry.
Our son who just turned 4 LOVES his new bike because it's fast and it's red. Dad loves the bike because it's definitely much better built than the store bought bikes. It has aluminum rims, and is decently made all around. You can also tell that the geometry of this bike is better than most as well.
My only complaint is with the packaging / shipping. The bike arrived with a few fairly deep scratches on the head tube. I'm sure that Walmart would have replaced it but it wasn't worth the trouble to me. It didn't affect the function and now I don't have to worry about my son scrathing it up anyway!. But, the box looked fine so I think it maybe could use better packing.
