My husband and I bought this cooler to take with us to a long weekend convention. I will say that those who say the cooler is heavy, even without anything in it, are absolutely right. I was able to wrestle it into the back of a friend's SUV by myself the night I picked it from the store, but then again, I'm fairly strong. :) Empty, it rolled pretty well, especially for its size and bulk. It was very nice to have the handle at the back, instead of on the side.
The Wednesday night before we left, we put a bunch of ice in the cooler to let the interior and lining cool down. (I have another 3-5 day cooler, and discovered that starting with pre-cooled drinks and a pre-cooled cooler is the key to keeping things icy cold for days.) We emptied the ice and water from Wednesday night and packed it full of sodas, ice, and sandwich fixings early Thursday afternoon. We were able to put in 42 .5 liter bottles of soda, a bunch of sandwich meat, cheese, condiments, tomatoes, oranges, etc. That was even before we covered it over with somewhere around 20-30 pounds of ice! At this point, it took my husband AND his best friend to hoist the cooler into and out of the back of the SUV. :) The thing HAD to have weighed at least 75 pounds, if not 100!
The only thing that we noticed right off the bat was that the top of the cooler didn't seal quite as tightly as we would have expected that it would. This is the only reason that I gave it a "Good" rating on "Meets Expectations". It could have made things very messy if we had not been aware of it. Putting something with a bit of weight and bulk on top kept it closed as we were moving it around, however. It was also more cumbersome to roll around when it was full, and putting too much more weight on top as it moved looked like a possible recipe for blowing out the wheels.
We were staying in a hotel from Thursday afternoon through Monday morning, and we were in and out of the cooler numerous times each day. The room in the hotel was actually warmer than we like, but definitely nowhere near 90 degrees. The cooler was in the sun sometimes, however. When I emptied the cooler on Monday morning, after we had decimated its contents, there was still some ice, and the water left behind was ice cold, too. It kept everything as cold as it needed to be for 4 days. I was able to find the plug without a problem, and got it to drain very easily. We then dried it out and packed it full of the things we were taking home with us from the convention. :)
All in all, the cooler is great for the price, it served our needs, it kept our food and life-giving liquids cold all weekend, and didn't break or cause too much frustration in moving. I would definitely recommend the cooler.
