It was a sad movie about a schizophrenic man who returns to his home town later in life. If you ever knew about a mentally deranged person, you will understand and really get into the story.
If you appreciate a film that really draws you inside the head of a disillusioned character, "Buffalo Bushido" does it better than any film I've seen in ages. With animation and great performances across the board from a diverse cast including Jesse L. Martin, Leila Arcieri, Bruce Glover, John Savage, Frederick Weller and others. Peter McGennis gives a raw and honest portrayal of an estranged schizophrenic coming home to confront his haunted childhood.
Keeping in mind that McGennis wrote (script & music), directed, acted, and produced, "Buffalo Bushido" is nothing short of an amazing achievement. "Buffalo Bushido" is a dark, personal film that draws you in and keeps you there, in its throes, until the end.
