Three things were NOT GOOD about this product: 1. The door on top would NOT close securely. (There's a tab that's supposed to catch and hold the door closed, but on mine, at least, it didn't catch and hold at all.) 2. The water bottle had serious flaws. First, the metal cap at the bottom was impossible to remove without resorting to brute force. I was traveling, and had just bought a hamster. (I bought the cage as a travel carrier). After I put the hamster in the cage, I intended to fill the bottle with water and then hit the road. But I could NOT pull the metal cap off. I had pulled into a gas station/minimart parking lot to do this. After trying and trying to get the cap off, I went into the minimart hoping someone there had stronger fingers than I did. There was a man there who tried repeatedly and he couldn't get it off either. He went out to his truck and got pliers and came back, and he got the cap off with those. Great! I filled the bottle with water and started off again. A couple of hours later, when I got to my destination, I realized that the hole at the end of the cap was so tiny, water could barely come out. On top of that, I tried to remove the cap again, thinking that since it had been unstuck before, it wouldn't be hard to remove this time. No such luck--the cap was once again unmoveable! 3. The wheel had a HUGE glob of grease that was supposed to, I guess, make it spin smoothly on its axel. Unfortunately, I had no idea it was there. When I stuck the axel in, the grease oozed out and got all over my hands and the wheel. It was a mess and really hard to clean up. This lousy experience has made me distrust the quality of any Kaytee products, and I STRONGLY advise people to beware when considering purchasing this particular cage.
