Sure, this is not a top of the line 7.1 Home audio system. I purchased it because I bought some Pioneer book-shelve speakers on sale at NewEgg (awesome price) and decided to replace my Bose 901s for my computer audio. Now, the Bose 901s are real nice for moderate computer audio, nice bass reflex, volume, no distortion, however, the Sony 2-Channel receiver has taken my computer audio up a notch or two. It does exactly what I wanted it to do, drive two book-shelve speakers with adequate high-fidelity. I'm sure it would do even better with some higher grade speakers, however, these two Pioneers are nice, 80w, good crisp sound, great crossover, excellent bass reflex. My Bose 901s cost $100.00. This amp at $149.00 and Pioneer speakers at $50.00 (on sale from $100.00 a pair) runs about $100.00 more than my 901s, and delivers at least that or more in increased high-fidelity and extra volume. I run it at least 12 hrs p/day and no problems at all so far. Great buy.
