Chely uses simple language and interesting stories to tell the tale of growing up as a closeted country singer. The chapters are short but interesting, and the book has a sharp honesty to it-- she really does seem to be baring everything to the reader, in hopes that they'll understand her. She handles negativity with good grace and doesn't shy away from being vulnerable or admitting fear. This book makes me want to hug her, and I'm glad she had the courage to share it with us.
