Good tasting and very versatile ration
these rations are in no way a waste of money. I always keep these for emergencies but have not ever needed them for that yet. do since they are good for 5 years, at one point I decided to open my oldest pack before the expiration date. let me tell you they are not just for emergencies... they are pretty tasty! I keep a few packs in my emergency box and a pack in my car for emergency, but, they are great for just eating. I take them camping for easy breakfast ( they are delicious with a hot cup of coffee) or a quick meal instead of skipping a meal.
Tastes like a bland apple oatmeal Doesn't taste good but doesn't taste bad Hard and heavy as a brick, difficult to bite(maybe soaking in milk will help) Can be used as a weapon
People if you have kids who love cookies this is the thing thats in now
Emergency food rations
Bought for an emergency, haven't used, looks Ok.
These are good. I tried one before I ordered more. They sort of taste like a peanut butter bar meets a butter cookie. No bad aftertaste either. They are to thick to just bit into though. I had to crush it up into pieces, but still worth it. Very good!
Great for carrying in backpack or emergency food.
I have not tried a taste of these, I have them in my backpack for hiking or emergency food.
A good, edible emergency ration bar
These are very good for what they are intended for; much needed nutrition for a go bag. It does have a hint of apple cinnamon and is very dense but in order to contain that amount of calories, it has to be.
It tastes good for what it provides. It becomes soft when heated. Package can be put in hot water or left in the sun to make the bar inside soft. Great for added nutrients to a meal. Due to the dryness liquids help it go down.
Arrived quicker than what it said Love the item

Okay listen, this is a survival ration. It is meant for emergencies, so, although they are 2400 calories total, 400 per little square, They do not taste very good. Although you do not need to choke it down with a spoon full of sugar, you would much rather have a clif bar on a hike than this. In an emergency, I see this saving your life until you can get a higher echelon of care. I have been in the USMC for 3 years so far and been to many a field op and I can tell you that this would give you the energy you need to make it out of a foodless situation alive.
The bars actually taste pretty good and for the price why not have them around just in case. However I recommend that you buy them at the store. The first 2 bars I purchased came sealed the 2nd time I purchased them 2 out of 3 of the bars were not . One bar had a small cut the other a pinhole. Nothing was spoiled. Not sure if it was shipped that way or if it occurred during shipping. I’ll hand them around as samples .
Was once a great price now overpriced
This product is a $5 product. They have it marked up to 3 times the price claimjng its been reduced. I used to eat this all the time. Now I have to go to other sites to buy similar products for cheaper.
I bought about $20 worth of these on a Walmart stop a couple months ago and accidentally broke one open while storing them, so I decided to try it. I could not stop eating it, wow! My wife even liked it and she's a finicky eater when it comes to emergency survival type food. The apple cinnamon flavor was spot on and it went down smooth without the need to wash it down with a drink. It didn't even make me thirsty, but the package did indeed keep me full for the rest of the day. We liked them so much we bought 2 cases of them "just in case".
Anyone thinking on buying survival rations, always try them first. As rations go, these aren't bad. They have the consistency of a thick hard cookie and seem to be protein and carb dense. Make sure to have water on hand as I did find it to be a bit thirst provoking. One of the bars held me for a good portion of the day so, in a pinch, one package should hold a person on minimal intake for about 3 days.
Description says 5 year but when I received this product expiration date was 4 years.
This has the nutrient you need. Need a little more flavor. I needed a hammer to break into bars. Still OK.
Pop tart without the filling
I opened one of mine out of curiosity. The apple-cinnamon flavor is actually pretty good. Honestly, it has the consistency, texture, and flavor of a pop tart without the fruit filling. As a survival food, it will do the job.
Great for pre- "pandemic" old pricetag.
These are great but since the "pandemic" the price went up $10.00.
Hard times coming!
Good enough if you're hungry! Good product!
Good for emergency bag.
Throw one in any emergency or travel bag just in case.
