Before 1st-run movies were shown in IMAX theaters, there were the documentaries. Theaters were limited, and my first experience was at the National Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC. The Langley Theater, to be exact. Here I fell in love with the IMAX experience and came to know "The Dream is Alive". If you ever get the opportunity to view this movie in an actual IMAX theater, do it!! I'm building a new home, complete with a home theater room, and I purchased the DVD version of this movie to show as the inaugural film for my guests. I can't wait!
