tasted yuck. Strong vanilla taste. All were mashed flat sideways.
Works great for my use making heavenly hash candy. Does not melt easily when hot chocolate added.
This is the only brand of marshmallows I've been able to find that doesn't have "Blue 1" artificial color in it. "Blue 1" food dye has been banned in many European countries, because it can cause an allergic reaction in some individuals with allergies & asthma.
taste good and a good price but sometimes are stuck together in the bag,
I completely disagree with the previous two comments. My wife and I made smores last week and these marshmallows melted perfectly! Our only "complaint" - I wish Great Value also offered Sugar Free or No Sugar Added marshmallows as well.
they was only 99 cent. as good as any I've ever bought
Just as good an name brand. These are sweet, fluffy and yummy.
Don't bother. Won't melt with butter. Attempted to make krispie treats. Marshmallows would not melt. Threw out and purchased name brand.
Great for baking
I have made Rice Krispy Treats many many times. I decided to try Great Value marshmallows this time. I started to melt the marshmallows as I have in the pass. Wright from the beginning I notice something different. The marshmallows became one large blob in the pan and did not become liquid at all. After awhile the marshmallows started to turn brown. The longer I heated the marshmallows the browner they got. I through that batter out and went back to Kraft Marshmallows. Mush better.
Or let's say I was a Jet Puffed girl. Tried this store brand and was super happy with my baking results.
Good for toasting
These Marshmallows are every bit as good as any name brand =) We couldn't tell the difference between Walmart and the name brand in a blind taste test. Save your money and buy the Great Value brand=)
Great for making rice crispy treats. Good price!
Good product for a good price
worked great with rice crispies
Very tasty, better than the more expensive brands!
These do NOT make good s'mores from a camp fire. They don't melt into a warm creamy goo that will melt the chocolate. Stay away from this product!
