We were looking for a fire pit that had a good enclosure for safety but was open enough to be able to enjoy the fire too. Was a hard decision, but I think we ended up with something really neat! It does have a wonderful enclosure, it's larger than I had thought it would be based off the product picture (which is very good!), and we can still get in and out of it easy. Very useful that it comes with a cover already too. It's a bit pricey, but with free shipping through Walmart, this price was better than I could get with shipping costs included elsewhere. ($285) So far though, I am not regretting spending that kind of money. Other reviews say it's hard to put together. My husband and I had no trouble, but it did take both of us to hold things in place until the shape started to stabilize. If you have patience and understand why you don't tighten all screws down until the last possible moment and have at least two sets of hands, you will have no trouble either. The only ~little~ thing I don't like about it is that the fire sits too far down into the bowl for me to get good profile pictures with coals in frame. But that is the goofy photographer in me. I'm sure most people will not even notice! And it's not like I don't have a few hundred great pics already. So it's not really hindering me either. *rolls eyes innocently* Bottom line, great product and I recommend it highly!
Price is very reasonable for this size of fire pit. This pit will hold normal sized logs opposed to the majority of cheaper ones and hold more. Perfect size and great viewing from all angles. We purchased our first one for an R.V park and used it 3 times a week for the "snow bird " seasons in Florida. Every one commented about it's size and the "glowing ball " effect. We have litterally went through a fire pit every year for the past five years before finding this one and we are on year 3 now with the original. The original one is in great shape still and we actually purchased another one for our home. tricks recommended would be 1. fill the fire bowl with sands to prevent premature rusting. 2. After a few first fires clean it up and re tighten the nuts and bolts. Overall we are very satisfied with this one. Great pick and no disappointments. ( well except it is not made in the U.S.A) :)
