This is the most I have ever paid for a kitchen scale, so I had great expectations. The digital readout has malfunctioned barely within the 90 day return policy for Walmart. It would have been outside the 90 days had it not been for a December 26th date adjustment for Christmas shoppers. Though the scale will weigh up to 11 pounds, most dishes/bowls I place on the scale covers the readout so I was always having to slide things back to see the weight. The buttons are difficult to clean around. There is a place between the glass and the digital readout that is impossible to clean. The digital readout failure (second digit of four from left) is the reason it is going back to Walmart after three months of usage. Though Salter covers this scale with a 10 year warranty, it isn't worth having to send it to California for repair. I am on a strict diet and weigh nearly all my food daily. I do not recommend this scale. Now I am rushing to purchase another top end kitchen scale and Walmart doesn't carry any in their stores. Target, here I come.
