I bought this pump last year for my new mountain bike. It looked cool on my bike and I felt confident that if I would need it, it would be there. And then the day came, just about a year later when it was called into duty. While some 7 miles from home I found myself with a flat tire. I patched the tube, got the tire back on the rim and then tried to pump it back up only to find this next to impossible. First, it is nearly impossible to get the pump to seat properly on the valve. Oh you will think it is on correctly but as you pump no air goes into the tire. I spent more time trying to get the pump to seat right then I did actually patching the tube. Secondly, once I finally got it on the valve, it took over ten minutes of pumping to get the tire 1/2 filled. And lastly, after struggling to get the pump seated on the value and trying to pump air into the tire, the handle broke. It just came right off the pump in such a way that it was impossible to use the pump any more. So there I was, the middle of nowhere with a front tire that was only half full of air after well over an hour of working on it in the hot sun. You can be sure I won't be buying another pump from Walmart!
