Walmart used to sell professional-sized dominoes from Cardinal; but now the Cardinal sets I see in Walmart stores are standard sized. These are rather thin (though perfectly ideal if you prefer to hide your dominoes in your hand during a game -- you can hold more standard-sized bones!). If you would rather have the thicker professional (jumbo) size, then this Mexican Train/Chickenfoot set from Puremco is for you! The bones are just as good as those found in Cardinal's older jumbo sets. I was very pleased. ONE WORD OF WARNING -- the sounds from the battery-operated centerpiece can be horrendously LOUD AND ANNOYING (though not as bad if you're playing in a crowded place like a social hall). Thankfully you can leave these sounds turned off, if desired. The centerpiece does prove to be very handy when playing Mexican Trains. FANTASTIC VALUE, considering the price I paid.
We enjoy playing Dominoes and have enjoyed learning some new ways to play. Great family fun!
We all had fun over the holidays playing Mexican Train. From a 7 year old up to the grandparents, everyone had fun. Read the instructions (they are in tiny print) but you will be glad to know all the ways to play...and win!!
Have played Mexican Train, but have not had the chance yet to play Chickenfoot. Mexican Train is fun, and we're sure Chickenfoot will be, too! Great price for these 2 games! Purchase each separately it costs much more.
Played this game with friends and just had to have one. Our boys 10, 7 and even the 5 year old are enjoying it too. Great game for the whole family.
Love that the tin holds all the pieces. A little pricey though.
