Mom found mine at a thrift store so it likely had a few years use before we owned it. We used it a lot for the first year or so. Now, on year 3, we're finally selling it because they've outgrown it. My son is 37lbs and is still able to play some, but he jumps so high the legs come up from the ground, so it's time to sell. We did not have the part with the plastic waist support, but it never slowed my kids down. I wish I had known before today that it could have been made into a rocker. Changing it from a rocker (for 12+ months) to a standing toy (24+months) was easy enough, but requires a little muscle. The rubber bouncers are in excellent condition and the horse shows very little sign of wear. The music talk button in one ear (music in the other) has twisted a little and isn't as easy to play, but it works. Overall, it's worth the money, especially if you find a sale. On the down side, you'll find yourself singing, "I'm a little pony, hippity hop, hippity hop..." in the shower, while you're cooking, etc, but the music can be turned down a little, or off. Once the batteries died the kids kept playing and it didn't seem to matter. You won't be disappointed. I'm happy to be selling it at my sale for someone to enjoy for even more years to come.
