Contrary to what has already been stated, this is not the same as the previous Blu-ray release or HD-DVD release (the later never coming out in the U.S.). It features a remaster of the movie that suffers from far less flaws. The original T2 HD release (ie HD-DVD and Blu-ray) was filled with all sorts of problems including halos, edging, and some encoding artifacts. This release does not suffer from those problems. The main reason why is that this is a dual-layer Blu-ray disc while the previous one was a single-layer release.
This features more special features and the extended cut via seamless branching. This is the version that should have been released back in 2006 on Blu-ray. All-in-all, this should be the last re-re-re-re-re-release of Terminator 2. This release is $20 well spent.
This Sci-fi classic looks better than ever on Blu-ray. I did a side by side comparison with the 2 disc Ultimate Edition DVD and noticed a striking difference in clarity, color and sharpness. Watching the Blu-ray, it was like a gray screen had been removed from between me and the TV. Audio is also substantially better than the DVD release.
If just a better looking and sounding movie isn't enough for you, then just about every bonus feature ever created for T2 has been ported over to this Blu-ray release. Combined with the low price of the Blu-ray, there is really no reason not to upgrade or buy for the first time.
This is what Blu-ray is all about, making classic films look better than ever.
the movie itself was transferred beautifully and the audio was great.. very clean, clear and vibrant.. more detail than I have ever seen before for that movie.. the extras are pretty lame.. an interview from 1992 that features director James Cameron and Arnold.. it would be nice to have had asome newer commentary about the film being in blu-ray and remastered..
Would not play on my blu ray samsung dvd player. Player is new and connected to internet. Ive also done all updates because i was having problems with another movie. Once update was done the other movie worked fine but this T2 still wont work and i returned for another and same thing. Dont buy this version its to much trouble im going back for a cash refund.
This is the same version that was released on HD-DVD a year ago which no changes. The only reason it took so long for it to be release on Blu-Ray is because BD Live was not available from the beginning which was a function and feature that HD-DVD had from the start.
Amazing picture and sound quality. Must view and own.
A must have in Bluray.
the skynet edition is definately worth the purchase. Fun menu options, and blu ray is becoming noticeable in the picture quality. Also, the movie was a lot more entertaining than the theatrical version.
I received the item in mint condition. The delivery was quick and easy to claim.
The product itself worked perfectly in my blu-ray player. This edition has improved overall in regards to picture and sound quality and extra features.
Great sound and picture....extended version with 16 additional footage.
Perfect product in perfect condition, got here in a well amount of time, 10 dollars for an amazing movie on blue-ray PERFECT DEAL
Watching this movie in Blue-Ray was like watching it for the first time. I was able to see detail that was impossible to notice before. Fantastic!
One of the best sequels ever made.
This should have been a 2 disk set, one disk just for the special features, instead of downloading the extras contents from the internet which take too long even with comcast broadband internet.
I like this bluray because it's the best T2 release so to date.
