OK if you read carefully this does NOT kill lice or their eggs. This is just to make it easier for u to comb them out. So guess what if you missed one and its alive you have a big chance of being reinfested. This is not worth the money for killing them.

I was at my friends house ... her kids had lice, yep, I got it. I did exactly as the direction said on the box (washed all bedding, sprayed the furniture with lice spray, ...) I didn't mind that the product was, oily. It just didn't seem to work very well. It's been 10 days and I've decided to retreat with something else, just to ensure I got everything and I'm going to retreat the house again. I really don't like the product, it was dripping all over me, the floor, and just made a mess (careful not to slip, it doesn't clean up well). Product didn't seem to kill all the nits/eggs (they were very difficult to remove even after the product was on my hair for over an hour)

Both my kids had lice.I have tried Nix and Rid Ex several times. Afterwards we combed out the hair, shock the lice out of the knit comb in a white bowl, wiped them up with a white paper towel and put them in a ziplock bag. After around 20 minutes some of them started crawling in the bag again. We tried conditioners, vinegar and tea tree oil - same thing! This time we used LiceMD - we found not one life louse! And - as a bonus: tons of eggs came out when combing. This is a great product to check out IF you or someone in the family has lice because it makes combing through so easy! I have dealt with this for weeks and read up everything I could find - including medical studies. In my experience NO product (and I include this product) kills eggs. Period! That's why even if you got every single louse out, new ones can hatch daily. He is what worked for us: Concentrate on the hair instead of house cleaning (eggs don't hatch if they should ever be scratched out because they need the temperature of about 98 degrees for that) and lice spread through hair to hair contact (which explains why my husband and I never got them even though we have close contact and even shared the same brushes). COMB! COMB! COMB! LiceMD makes is easy to comb through. Get a metal lice comb with longer bristles - those work much better than the plastic combs. My son had thousands of lice and nits and you need to comb until nothing comes out (for him it took an hour with short fine hair for my daughter with shoulder length hair it took two). This product is sticky and goey - have a whole role of white papertowel to clean the comb out after every time you run the comb through. If you leave just a couple of eggs (which is easy to do) it will start the infestation over! THUS: REPEAT! After 5 days we did it once more to make sure no new eggs hatched and we have one more in another 5 days to double check. Those newly hatched lice are too young to lay new eggs (they have to be around 9 days old). You have to wash the hair a few times afterwards before it doesn't feel oily anymore. But that's better than having lice. Nothing gets around the combing! It is a lot of work but in my opinion the only way to get rid of the suckers. (And think about it - all the other shampoos and methods include combing as well, so you might as well make the combing easier which this product definitely does). Good luck and sorry that you have to deal with this!

I am going to try this despite 2 poor reviews. I have been dealing with head lice for 2 months and this is my second go-round. The first round was 7 months but I figured out who was re-infesting my girl and actually called the school on her. She was lice free for 11 months and got re-exposed. UGHNESS! Tried everything else, why not?
