I did some research on life vests and found that the only vest that might save one's life if unconscious is a Type I or II vest. I don't do a lot of canoeing, so didn't want to spend a huge amount on a fancy vest. I was happy to find the Stearns Adult Type II Life Jacket Vest at Wal-Mart for only $8 + shipping. The vests were delivered surprisingly fast and were in perfect condition.
works great... makes a non swimmer feels safe and that why I ordered it
The lifejacket is adjustible so it fits everyone from the smallest child to a fullgrown man...
Easy to put on.
Dont take much space at home.
I can definately recommend this product!!
Perfect. Just like the ones they have a boat docks. Great value Great sizewise
GOOD TO GO OUT FISHING
Excellent Life Jacket for the money & intended use.
Good quality jacket for the money. Great for having on the boat to meet the required number of life jackets per passenger.
This lifejacket serves the purpose perfectly. You can't go wrong for the price.
you do not need all the fancy expensive life vests. keep it simple and inexpensive. This product works the same as any other 30 dollar life jacket would. If not it wouldn't be approved.
A nice life jacket for the price
We bought 2 and haven't had to use them, we bought them for extras, on our boat and kayaks. They were on sale and they look well made, probably not as hot wearing them because they are just around the neck and chest. I feel they are Excellent Quality for the money. Plus every boater needs to have a life jacket on board, we were checked once already!
I Feel they are a great buy for the price!
If you are looking for a low cost, occasional, short term use life jacket, these will work just fine.
fast, great value
If you're looking for the cheapest product out there, this is it. It is rather bulky, so if you are going to be spending a long time in a vest or if you need to have mobility to tend to young children while on the water, I would recommend a different one. It buckles on very easily & was a great value. We used it on a rafting trip and never fell out of the boat, so I cannot attest to its buoyancy.
This life vest is as basic as you can get and is good for lakes and rivers. It wouldn't stand up on seas and oceans but it doesn't pretend to be a top of the line preserver. I use is on Kayaks where it is especially welcomed as it has no padding in the back thus not interferring with the kayak's seat-back. It is inexpensive, to be sure, but it is also adequate.
Well made and great value.
Although the price was right, the vest was uncomfortable.
