The shams are well constructed and thick enough to stand up on the bed. The color is lovely and very true to the picture online. Completes the look of the bedspread (which I also bought) well.
Buy some cheap stiff standard/queen [big] pillows to stuff inside them so they stand up nicely [presently using down-not firm enough]. They match the coverlet perfectly. Bought the blue which is a gorgeous dusty aqua blue that matches our wallpaper perfectly, and the sage set for our daughter's "hope chest". They wash beautifully in the machine. I washed the coverlet in Dreft [gentle cycle in a front loader] and then the shams together separate from the coverlet. I bought 6 shams [3 sets of 2] for our King bed [2 rows of 3 across] and 4 [2 sets of 2] for our daughter who will have a queen size bed when she gets married. Dried them on gentle cycle [less dry option]. Touched up with a warm not hot iron. We have a very high king bed so the coverlet doesn't reach the floor but we have a bedskirt so it's fine [covers 1/2 the way down the skirt] Bought our daughter the kingsize coverlet for the queen bed so it does go to the floor for her. We LOVE the sets. So pretty and light. I am using it now [winter] with our down comforter and it is plenty warm [we don't like heavy bedclothes]. If you like heavy then this thin coverlet is not for you. A thick comforter would be better.
I got it for my sister and she completely loves it, so I also bought her the shams to with it.
they are a little larger then my pillows, but very pretty!
This is a good product but it didn't look right on my king size bed. I liked the simple look of just the bedspread. I did like the idea that it was a simple matter of returning them to the nearest Walmart. I had only seen them on line and didn't know that they were standard size.
packaging stated set but only had one sham in the package
