I actually prefer ground turkey to ground hamburger in cooking, it is leaner, takes on added tastes/spices well, and cooks quicker without burning. I am not usually a picky eater, I will buy store brands and often shop thrifty at the Grocery Outlet, so the brand name isn’t important to me when shopping. However, the quality level of Jenny-O was high enough that I am more inclined to purchase it over other brands when given the choice.
The texture is very nice, and the color was great. It was easy to cook, each to break into smaller pieces while cooking, and easy to bake.
I found the taste pleasant, it was lean and passively flavored enough to give it an edge without a heavy marinade, but had enough retained flavor that it didn’t taste like a handful of basil when I added in seasons.
I would purchase it again, and I do purchase it often. I would also suggest it to a friend and trust it enough to be willing to serve it to people whose impression on me would be important.
