I use these for my boiled peanuts due to their large size. They are great.
BTW, here's the recipe:
Crock Pot Boiled Peanuts
16 oz bag of raw Jumbo Virgina Peanuts (or raw green peanuts)
1/3 cup salt
1. Put small cracks in most (or all) of the peanuts. This allows them
to soak the brine better.
2. Put peanuts and salt in slow cooker (crock pot) and fill with water.
3. Cook on high for 24-30 hours. You may want to check the water level
after about 12 hours.
I would recommend this product to my friends. If you like to roast your peanuts these work great. I boil mine.
I wish I could get bigger bags because I feed my blue jays and they go through a lot of peanuts!
Love to boil the peanuts for the family. Freeze any that are left for a cold winter night.
The Hines Raw Peanuts are fresh, plump, and tasty. They are among the best raw peasants available on the market.
I buy hines peanut from Walmarts 3I feel they are natural therefore healthy as opposed to sweets, chips and or crackers . The problem is their salt free roasted are 75% of the time are over cooked or burnt .The uneatable conditions of the nuts are undependable in that ,I buy at least 4 bags a week for months .I never even complain as I am very busy and figuring their own internal quality control would correct the situation but at least a year later it has not.
I buy these for the squirrels and blue jays in my yard.. consistent quality and always in stock ..
love the fresh taste and smell
