I recently purchased the 1500w pink Revlon styling tool at a competitors store. I have been using similar tools for more than ten years on my shoulder length straight hair. I purchased this unit after my previous one went to styling heaven. Unfortunately, I have found this model to be absolutely disappointing for a number of reasons: First, the girth of the hand-hold area must have been designed by a man capable of grasping an aluminum bat by the head and waiving it over his head for an hour. It's way too big for anyone other than perhaps Dirk Diggler to handle. Second, I find it absurd that the unit is designed to allow the hot air to escape between the motor unit and the styling tools. It not only blows your hair away from the styling tool end but also eliminates any heat from being transferred to the tool, which does nothing to assist with the styling/drying purpose. Third, the two styling brush attachments' bristles are too short to grasp/hold MY fine hair and so they can't possibly combat the rush of air lashing out from the middle of the unit. I'd like to say this purchase was a hot mess, but at $40 bucks, it's just a plain mess. Disappointed in Las Vegas...
