I liked these mini pizzas just fine until they had to discontinue the brand the mini pizzas were in and replace it with Great Value. I was so mad. The flavors in these mini pizzas are: pepperoni, sausage and cheese. The other brand that they just discontinued like a week ago were pepperoni, cheese and supreme. The other brand of mini pizzas were great tasting. This brand of Great Value mini pizzas are horrible. The packaging is horrible. When I opened the box to eat one after I bought them, I noticed that the crust was incredibly huge and there hardly any pizza. The price of the other brand that they discontinued (sorry I can't remember the brand name, didn't pay attention that much to it but really liked it) well the price of it was $6.25. A little bit expensive I know, but still a great product. This Great Value mini pizzas that got replaced with it are $5.98. Not worth it! It is a horrible product! It is cheaply and poorly made. It tasted alright, but I was pretty hungry when I ate it too. It didn't taste near as good as the other brand did. The other brand was so much better! I wouldn't pay more than 50 cents for each individual pizza. And I will not pay more than $3.98 for this box of 6 mini pizzas again. It is only 27 cents cheaper than the other brand of mini pizzas they discontinued and replaced it with. Not with it being just 27 cents cheaper for this product. Needless to say, I will not buy this product again!
Right to the point, these mini pizzas are awful. Funky taste, crust is thicker around edges, toppings do not meet the same height. Have to drop mini pizzas from my menu cause they stopped carrying the 6 pack name brands in my local store. Big mistake. Did I mention they taste awful!?!?!?!?
I'd already posted this review but somehow it is not being seen. I'd been waiting for months to see if mini pizzas would ever come available in the Great Value Brand as I decided I did not want to buy just a whole pizza only for me. I finally found the 6 mini pizza's in a box and scooped them up quickly, as it seems they may have been on the shelf before. I did not want to miss out this time. Let me tell you, they are Absolutely Awesome !!!! Sauce is not tangy nor have an after taste like other brands. All are individually wrapped which is what I like about this brand. No chance for Freezer burn as with other pizza products that just slap them together in one big bag inside a box. All of them cook very nicely in the oven directions at 400 degrees for 20 minutes and don't pre-heat as per instructions. I bought this box of mini deep dish pizzas only 3 days ago and they are gone. Woofed up by me only.. even though my pets begged for a sample, I just could not bare to give up any portion of them. I am very impressed with the taste and crispiness of the Great Value brand and will definitely buy again and again. So to the people at Walmart ..please make sure this product is continuously stocked or I will have a fit..
OK... this pizza is a true picture of what GV represents to me. When someone looks to buy a frozen pizza, when I look to buy a frozen pizza, I go for the two extremes. Sometime I look for the best quality that frozen pizza has to offer, and usually I am disappointing. There are other times, though, when you just gotta have the "Totino's experience." You know what I'm talkin' about. You pay a sweet price for the cheap stuff, and it delivers when you crave the pizza taste. I'd say having these in your freezer will purge a craving when you just don't want to wait. Sub-par as it may be, you get what you pay for, and I'll buy it again.
