For the longest of times, I had wondered where this fabulous salad dressing had went to. I was delighted to find out that it was still being made... and even more delighted to find out that it still tasted the same since I first tasted it in the early 1970's. It's a shame that this dressing isn't as widely distributed as it was back then, but I'm glad it's still here. Very good on a simple iceberg lettuce salad, but I would imagine any salad green would benefit from it.
I am so glad that someone still makes this dressing. It is getting hard to find on store shelves these days. I don't know quite how to describe the flavor except as "green." It's similar to Ranch in creamy texture and flavor, but with a bit of bite to it that comes from the chives I think. I concur with another reviewer, this is absolutely delicious on iceberg lettuce, like it was made for it specifically. I like to throw together some chopped iceberg, bell peppers and Vidalia onion, and maybe a hard boiled egg if I'm in the mood, with a modest portion of Green Goddess. Inexpensive perfection! It's also good for dipping cucumbers and broccoli.
