Only dark brown sugar I use in my house
I had my husband go to our local Walmart in Hillsboro Ohio and when he brought it home it was hard as a rock. I have been seeing a decrease in the quality of alot of products. And with the cost going up on everything you can't afford to get a bad product.
I only use the "dark brown" sugar nowadays in recipes since the "light brown" version is so light, and the "dark brown" version is the darkness that the "light" used to be. In order to truly achieve the same flavor profile or the darkness I desire, I add molasses or ribbon cane syrup and macerate the sugar in it overnight or more.
Roaches LOVE it and so do I.
