I have used this product for about 2 weeks now and it does heat up fast, but the problem I am faced with is since this is such a HI watt glue gun it tends to DRIP hot glue ALOT!!!! Now this is all on the HI setting because I was using Hot melt glue sticks! I can not tell you how much it drips on the low setting. The tips are usefull! I found that the small tip does leak less (because it is a smaller hole less glue can come out) the wide one has also came in handy a few times. The light is bright so if you wanted to you can use it in the dark! ***I DONT RECOMMEND DOING THAT*** I use hot glue almost every day, I would recommend this product. if you are doing LARGE project or you are going to be doing alot of glueing! I give this about a 7 out of 10 This product comes with a CASE, the case is nice but the glue gun will not fit in the case correctly if there is a glue stick still in the gun!! (this case is useless with me because I use the Large Glue sticks)
I purchased this Dremel Hot glue gun online because it was not available in the store. Dremel products have served me well in the past, so I took a chance and ordered this one. It is a very good dual heat gun with a carry case. I really liked the light on the end by the nozzle. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
The previous reviewer had the drip problem. I had same problem when I first got it. Then, I realized that is probably caused by air trapped in the system. I put the tip in the up position, set switch to hi. Let it sit for a few minutes. Then, push the trigger to let some glue out (collect the glue with a paper towel. I can hear the air came out with the glue. After that, there is absolute no drip.
I think the manual can be improved. It should mention how to remove the air when first time use. There also should be an explanation on when to use hi or low position.
