Walmart+ Assist is a program where eligible customers are able to join Walmart+ at a discounted rate. This program is offered to anyone who qualifies for government assistance programs and can offer sufficient documents to prove their eligibility. Eligible programs include SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, SSI, TANF, TTANF, NSLP and LIHEAP.

Yes, customers that have never been a Walmart+ member before and are successfully verified will get a 30-day free trial to start their membership.

Walmart+ Assist members enjoy every membership benefit that full price Walmart+ members enjoy, just at a discounted rate of $6.47/month or $49/year.

New members, existing members, cancelled members, paused members & trial members are all eligible for Walmart+ Assist. In order to transfer your membership from Walmart+ to Walmart+ Assist, simply visit www.walmart.com/plus/snap and complete the Walmart+ Assist sign-up process.  Note: If your Walmart+ membership is associated with a service you receive through another company (such as Amex, etc.), you will need to end that association before being able to sign up for Walmart+ Assist.

Walmart+ has partnered with a third-party verification provider called “SheerID” to verify your eligibility for Walmart+ Assist. As part of the membership enrollment process, you will be taken to the SheerID website where you will be requested to fill out the eligibility verification form. Upon successful completion of verification, you will be requested to return to the Walmart site/app to continue with your Walmart+ Assist enrollment.

If you are an existing member and want to switch to a Walmart+ Assist plan, visit www.walmart.com/plus/assist . We will then guide you through steps to verify your eligibility and switch plans. Upon selecting a new discounted plan, your old plan will be canceled, and you will be refunded for the unused portion of that plan. Your new discounted plan will start immediately. If we are unable to issue the refund to the original form of payment, you will receive a Walmart gift card for that amount.

SheerID is a third-party verification service that works on behalf of retailers to verify an individual’s affiliations. For information on their services, visit them at www.SheerID.com.

If you cannot provide acceptable proof of eligibility, we will be unable to approve you for Walmart+ Assist. You are of course eligible for our normal Walmart+ membership, which you can sign up for at walmart.com/plus.

Your verified status will be valid for one year from the start date of your paid Walmart+ Assist membership. Walmart+ will verify your eligibility for the program on an annual basis in an offline process without any customer input for most cases.

If your annual re-verification fails, you will no longer be eligible for the Walmart+ Assist program . Your plan will auto-renew for $12.95/month or $98/year plus applicable taxes until you cancel the membership. You will be notified via email about the changes to your membership plan.
