YASSS. This is the old formula!
I used this powder in my college days (circa 2005) and got endless compliments on my skin. I'm Black with a medium golden skin tone. Bare faced with this powder was all I needed. I was so sad when I could no longer find it. It was called Tan or Tawny, or something like that. Now called What Shady Beaches (lol) I'm so glad I found it again! Even my NARS doesn't compare. My secret weapon has returned. I'm stocking up.
I really wanted to love these, but the 2 that I purchased just wouldn't show up on my face. I ended up giving them to a friend. I have fair to light skin so they looked like they would be a great match, but unfortunately they were just too sheer. I have other bronzes from them that I love, as well as many other products. This one just wasn't for me.
Very wrong color representations
According to the site's piles of powder color representations, What Shady Beaches appeared very light, similar to Reserve Your Cabana. At the time I purchased it, there were zero swatches online and none in any stores to actually look at, so I had to depend on the site's representations. It is very dark, and looks like dirt on my face even with a very light hand. I wouldn't try this color unless you are a medium skin tone. Fair to light skin tones probably cannot get away with this. Wet n wild really needs to correct their color representations, this is unacceptable.
I really wanted to like this product because I've been on a Wet n Wild kick recently and the prices are so affordable! I went to apply and it was way too dark for me. It looked fake and cakey once I was finished. I find that when I do use it I should barely get any on the brush to avoid an unpleasant final look.
