Sonim XP5 XP5700

This phone is great for my husband who has a job in fabrication(bending metal.) It's very sturdy and he's able to keep it in his pocket while he works without worrying so much about the screen getting busted. He can also be heard in the loud environment. It has WiFi capability,so it will operate when 3G service shuts down.A very good,simple phone.There aren't alot of aggravating apps for someone just wanting a phone to make calls and send texts. It came with a SIM card,so the activation process,and adding it to our existing account,was easy while talking to the verizon rep. One thing that had to be changed though, was the phone came default with T9 texting,which was awful. I had to go to the settings and change it to the "Abc" multi-tap texting. Haven't been using it very long,but so far,so good. Hopefully it'll last some years like his old 3G Samsung Convoy 3 did. If you're looking for a hardy replacement "dumb phone" and don't care about social media,this phone is a good choice.
