onn. 58" Class 4K Ultra HD (2160P) HDR10 Roku Smart LED TV (100005397)

I have been a Roku subscriber almost since they launched on day one I love the channels and have enjoyed watching them expand. Now I see that they are on TVs as well. The ONN 58 inch Ultra HD TV is really huge. When I am box that I did not realize how large of a TV 58 in really is. I was so accustomed to my little 42-inch and 48 in other brand TV. Set up was very simple. I do recommend having two people pick the TV up and put it on a cabinet that is designed for that size of TV. While the TV was not heavy for me the sizes what made it a little tricky.

Super easy to set up on the internet. So that all the channels that you subscribed to will be able to get online. Of course being a brand new TV you have to sign into all your favorite entertainment apps.

After I signed into all the apps Amazon the internet, I went through the menu on the TV and updated the software.

The picture is amazingly clear. The remote response time is super fast. As is the channel changing response time.

In my opinion the sound is a little bit "tin can" sounding. I left the sound features on the default. Maybe I will have to switch them around to find the ones that my ears like best. We will be adding a soundbar and other speakers for more entertainment options.

If you're looking to buy a television that is huge and an amazing value I highly recommend ONN 58 inch HDTV. While I did receive this as a gift from Walmart and ONN for a review. This TV was on my Black Friday after Thanksgiving list for a purchase. I have been watching it for about 2 weeks now the Walmart pre-black Friday sales flyers.

Whether you give this TV as a gift or a gift to yourself it will be a great holiday and you will be thoroughly entertained what's all the features the ONN HDTV offers.

I have done a review prior to this on this TV and gave it 3 stars because of the problem with Compatability with the Xfinity cable system. I have since been able to get the TV to work with the Xfinity system but you must use two remotes. The quality of this TV is fantastic with vivid colors and an excellent audio system. This TV is VERY well worth the price and is much better than much higher priced TV's.

This is an awesome TV! So very easy to set up. The stands were very easy to put on. I did it myself, you just need a screw driver. On screen set up was very easy. The picture and sound are amazing for such a large TV! I love the look of it, nice and sleek. The TV also mounts on the wall, but I chose to put it on a stand in the living room. It's so large and clear it can be seen from all areas of the room. The remote comes with batteries and I have had no issues at all with it, or the TV. I highly recommend this TV! It's great and would make an awesome gift!

We are extremely pleased with our new tv! The picture is incredible as well as the sound quality. When it comes to user-friendliness, Roku's interface simply cannot be beaten. We had been shopping around for a new tv for our play room and this set has all the great features that the big brand names have for a literal fraction of the cost. We were strongly considering buying another set that was $$$$ and I'm so glad we didn't!

The Onn. 58" 4K LED TV arrived by YRC freight company. The driver was very cautious about unloading the heavy TV box and bringing it to the front door. The back of the product box had a extra piece of cardboard that was shrink wrapped to protect the TV during transport. The cardboard had some cosmetic damage but once the product box was opened it appears there was no damage to any parts and all items were accounted for. There was plenty of foam packing material and all items were individually wrapped inside the box. The TV is very heavy and awkward to handle so 2 people will be needed to lift and move to a entertainment center it does come with feet or on the wall using a wall mounting bracket. It has a nice stylish slim design. The 4K technology is the new way to go I'm very impressed on this model it's a moderate to huge improvement in picture engineering. The bezels are narrow which gives a larger and more theater picture screen quality.

It doesn't come with a HDMI cable which is needed to hook up. The ports located on the back of the TV is a little cumbersome to reach once the TV is in it's permanent place. There is a wizard that makes set up easy just follow the straight forward instructions. It might be a little intimidating for some who lack electronic programming. The remote control feels good in the hand and the buttons are easy to read and understand. There is a lot of menu options for controlling and customizing for any TV viewer. The sound is crisp and clear better than I expected for manufacture speakers. But I went ahead and still connected the sound bar since I already had one. This TV is a perfect addition to the living room to watch movies, sports, music and even playing games on the console. Even though this TV is manufactured in China it has a very good high standard of excellence.

The onn. 58 class 4k hd Roku smart led tv is quite a set. I have not experience a 4k television before so this was all new to me. Also I haven't heard of this brand before. The colors are so vibrant and the picture is so clear. I wasn't familiar with the Roku aspect either, in fact I was a little afraid of what people had said about the experience of trying to set up and calling only to be mislead into thinking they had to pay.We had no problems with the set up and it linked up in no time.The apps that we use were already loaded so no problem there. The biggest problem we had was getting this monster tv hooked up to the wall. That wasn't to do with the set only adapting it the the previous mount. This is a great tv and at a very reasonable price.

The 58" 4K Roku LED TV has quality and is a very fine piece.

The set up is literally good for one person job. I did it alone. The box was open and cut from the side, then slide it out. One will find the remote and instructions and screws. Then lay it flat and lift the bottom up using the foam. Install the stand one at a time. Yes, one will need a screw driver. Then, lift it up and let it stand.

Then plug it in, power it up. It will ask one to check the basics, like internet connection etc. Then, one will be asked to sign up or log in Roku account. There is a link to use showing on the TV. Once signs up, or signs in, then the TV will update itself and bingo, it is up and running.

It will first give you an intro on how to use the remote and / or using the phone app. Then, go to HOME and see the free movies, and channels. And certainly, the paid channels if one has the accounts. Also if there is a cable connection, one can also hook it up to watch local channels etc.

There are a total of 3 HDMI ports. Also the basic stereo /audio ports.

The color is great.

One must has a stand at least 50" long and 1 inch wide to support the TV to stand. Mine was only 46 in long. So it will be placed on the floor for now.

I was really excited to try this 58” Roku smart tv with 4K resolution. I'm not all that familiar with Onn products, but I had heard they are a Walmart brand so I had high expectations. It arrived in a huge box and was very well packed. One person can unbox it and set up the tv, however two makes it go a little faster.

Nowhere on the site or on the box does it state the length between the legs of the tv. That is very important information when trying to figure out if it will fit on a shelf. From the furthest point of one leg to the furthest point of the other leg, it was about 49.5 inches in between. That was too long for my shelf. I turned the legs so the points point toward the center instead of out. The screw holes still lined up and it doesn't seem to have affected stability. I gained a few inches that way and it was able to fit.

This tv has not only three HDMI connections and USB, but composite inputs for video and left and right audio. Not all flat screens have this hookup. I still have a VCR and I was able to connect it to the tv because of this. The picture doesn't fill the entire screen of course, but it is easily viewable.

Set up was easy. Basically creating an account, choosing the channels you want and inputting your wi-fi info. There are lots of tweaks you can make to the picture and sound to get them to your liking. The sound at first seemed tinny to me, but then I found a setting to boost the bass and it was much better. The volume on this tv is louder than my name brand one. This tv has more powerful speakers and you can tell. I was going to buy a sound bar for it, but I found I didn't need it. Picture quality isn't quite as good as my name brand tv—not quite as sharp, but close enough you won't notice a huge difference especially with 4K content which came through as vivid and lifelike. This Onn model is half the price, so I think it wins in that respect.

The only issue I had is the remote died on me in the first few days of using the tv. Thankfully Roku has the app that allows you to use your phone as a remote. This is not ideal as sometimes it responds when I press a button and other times, it doesn't. I can't tell if this is due to the phone, the app or the connection dropping. I prefer a real remote and I'm going to be looking for a replacement as soon as one is available.

This lightweight TV was easy to set up out of the box. A noticeable issue is the instructions having small silver writing on an orange background. Even with readers, it was difficult to see. This TV is bright with vivid, crisp colors, which gives an almost 3D effect. The remote control has a poorly designed volume control that is placed on the side of the remote. Every time I grab the remote, the sound is muted, lowered, or increased. It's exactly where your hand would naturally grab the remote. I also have DISH TV, and the two remotes are not compatible. I called ONN customer service, and no code was available, forcing me to use the Roku for volume and on/off. And Dish remote for everything else. You may or may not like the verbal tutorial that comes on automatically while setting up your new TV. It can be turned off. Keep in mind you will need to set up a Roku account requiring a credit or debit card. Although not charged, this account will need to be set up before you can use the system. There were also several interruptions upon setting up the TV due to system updates for the TV. If you are familiar with Roku set will seem easy. If you are not familiar, you may stumble a bit along the way. Overall, four stars for excellent picture quality, lightweight design, and a decent looking frame. Lack of one star due to the remote issue of volume on the side and non-compatibility. Worth noting are the shape and direction of the feet, which adds a bit of length to the size of the TV.

So simple to setup a 72 year old woman can do it. And it was my first ever SMART TV!

The tv does weigh 85 pounds so plan accordingly. After turning the unit on, the setup automatically comes on the screen. Just follow the directions and you will be watching tv in no time. A small guide does come in the box but you'll need a magnifying glass to read it. It tells you to go to onntv internet site for a complete user manual. Unfortunately, the manual for the 58" tv is nowhere to be found. I had a problem with turning off the on screen audio guide. I called the company and within 5 minutes my problem was solved. 5 stars for customer assistance. ( Go to the home screen and choose Settings, Accessibility, Audio Guide, OFF).The picture quality is clear and crisp and it fills up the entire screen. . The tv speakers are loud and clear. It has the standard 3 hdmis, usb, aux, and composite inputs and outputs. During the setup I noticed an option for bluetooth speakers, but you can only connect ROKU bluetooth speakers. This is the reason I only rated the tv 4 stars. My favorite option on the tv is how quickly and easily you can adjust the settings. Just hit the * on the remote and you get a list on the left of the screen (see picture ). My one concern is how warm the back of the unit feels after being on for only an hour. I suppose time will tell if this leads to a problem.
