Love them
I bought a half size bigger like suggested however the shoes were too large. They run true to size. I ordered a second pair and now have to return the first one which is a bit of a hassle. I love the shoes. I work in Medical field and am on my feet 12 hours a day. Shoes are comfy and I've not had any problems...

not for me
I really don't see what all the hype is about this shoe. I have been wearing these for about 3 months now and they are not the most comfortable shoe. I can't wait to take them off! For starters they look huge on my feet. I wear a 7 1/2. There is almost too much padding on the top of the shoe and not enough cushion on the bottom. They make my heels hurt. Why should I have to pay for another orthotic when I paid so much for the shoes to begin with? They also make my feet hot probably because there is so much padding on top of the shoe. Why is this needed? I don't mind paying for a pair of shoes that are worth it but in my opinion these just are not and I won't be buying these ever again.

Super comfortable!!

I am on my feet all day at work and have tried various shoes. By the end of the day my feet hurt badly (neuropathy) and also have an old ankle injury that put plates and screws inside my ankle causing pain. My back also hurts from my job. I was just about to give up after trying a different style New Balance, Nikes, Asics and Easy Spirit. I even kept the Nikes and Asics as they were comfy for around the house and hanging out. But, not for serious working all day on the feet. My foot doctor said to try running shoes, not walking shoes. Said they had more support, and it didn't matter what brand as long as I found them comfortable. I saw the New Balance 990v4 and read great reviews so thought I'd give them a try. Lo and behold, they worked!! I bought a 10 wide and they are perfect. Toe box is roomy and the support is wonderful. I walk all day in them at work and have much less pain in my feet and my back. Although I doubt I'll ever be pain free totally, these shoes are about the best I have found. They also have a stylish look. Highly recommend these for anyone who is on their feet all day!!!

Super supportive shoe

I love this show so much I got it in two different colors! It's super supportive and comfortable to wear great for doing a lot of walking. It works well for me since I have ankle problems and flat feet and need to put in my own inserts. The price was also better then buying them from new balance! I can't recomemd enough!

AWSOME SHOES!

I have spent soooooooo much money on shoes trying to get relief from plantar fascilitis....and these ARE THE ONES!!! Nothing is better!!!!!! This is my second pair! Love the sale price to! Before you WASTE any money try these FIRST!! A bit expensive..BUT worth every penny for some relief!! I even try KURUS sent them back.....NOTHINGS this good!!

Excellent New Balance 990v4 Running Shoes

I am not a runner, but need a strong cushion on a walking shoe. This makes my third pair that I have ordered, so you know that I think that they are the best shoe for everyday walking. I wear these with customized orthotics, and therefore, use a half size larger than I actually wear, to accommodate my orthotics so these shoes fit perfectly.

Great Sneakers!

I bought these sneakers about a month ago. One of the best decisions I have made. Great quality, and sooooo comfortable! I have mortons neuroma which causes a lot of pain. I have no pain at all. They are like walking on a cloud. They are the most comfortable sneakers I have ever had. I actually bought a 2nd pair.

They are well worth the price.

And they fit me

New Balance is one of the few shoe companies that makes women's shoes that are narrow (AA) and in half sizes (11.5). Doesn't anyone at the other companies understand that having sport shoes that FIT matters? Anyway, these are great all around. They're comfortable, good looking and... they fit.

Durable materials

I choose New Balance for the wide toe box that some styles have. The materials in my previous pair were a little flimsy and started to deteriorate quickly. Because of that, and because I dislike the available colors in that style, I went with the 990 this time. I like the plain gray, and the materials seem much more durable. But I wish NB hadn't gone with nubuck on the toes, because it's already scuffed up. Would have preferred leather rather than nubuck.

Poor arch support and strange sizing

Based on previous reviews, I ordered a 10 Narrow -- even though my usual NB size is 9.5 Narrow. Those reviews were correct. I needed the length, so didn't return them. But these shoes have more volume than most NB shoes and not as much arch support in the right places. I purchased $50 inserts from Superfeet, which solved most of the problems. I ordered New Balance 940 shoes at the same time, and find those to be much better --- arch support, light weight, no insert needed, easier lacing. The main reason I kept these is that it's been impossible to find a pair of plain black sneakers in a narrow width.

not for me
