Pro fit would not allow for removal and adjustment

I installed this product on our bathrom wall using screws instead of the anchor system it came with, since I was able to place the brackets over studs. It was slightly loose upon installation, so I figured I would just pop the accessory off the pro fit brackets, put longer screws into the brackets, and reinstall. That's where my aggravation began. The very slight instructions on the Moen site said to insert a screwdriver into the base of the bracket, push up, and pull the towel racket off the brackets. This was an exercise in futility. The brackets would not disengage from the towel rack. Finally I had to push up so firmly in the slot with the screwdriver that the towel rack did come off, but the plastic tabs on the so-called "pro fit" brackets were bent back and unusable for reinstalling the product. Why Moen switched from the tried and true "screw a metal bracket to the wall, then attach the accessory to the bracket with a screw" model is beyond me. I was very unhappy with the product, Moen's poor instructions and their lack of a video showing how to remove the towel rack from the pro fit brackets. Also, the towel rack protrudes so far from the wall that our door was hitting the towel rack before it hit our door stop. Very disappointed in this product.
