Red is true red. I recommend the red but not purple.

I bought two of these (online) and one was very good quality.  The other was very poor quality with the inner cord sticking out and fewer feathers overall.  I needed these for a craft project and was able to use in spite of flaws.

One out of two was good quality

Received the item on time but the boa started to shed the moment it was taken out of the package. The boa shedder the whole night it was worn
