I received this toy as part of a promotion through bzzagent in exchange for my honest review. I will split this review into two parts. The first part is from Dad's perspective and the second part is from my daughters perspective.
So warning ahead of time, this is just a toy (a seriously cute toy). It will not do anything a real dog or its big brother the zoomer zuppie will do like bark at the mailman, chase the cats (the cats were just like OMG what is that), trip you up in the hallway (OK that's a possibility), retrieve slobbery toys for you to play with, or pee on the rug (though it will make gas noises)
This is a seriously cute toy, that being said it is smaller than expected and getting it do anything that makes sense is difficult (for an adult). It has several game modes and will bark, chew, growl, play music and otherwise be loud with no volume control. Its basically a blinky noise machine. The instructions as included are difficult to follow and so is determining what all the eye blink's mean. Was that a sad, angry eye blink or is it rabid? It is not self motivated like its big brother the zoomer zuppie, That all being said, my daughter loves it and is still spending time with it figuring out all the "games" and getting it to do things. When I last saw it, it was growling at her and she was unsuccessfully telling it to stop, at which point she started rubbing its belly, and shoving the cupcake into its face solving the dispute.
My daughter loves it and could figure it out in a snap. And she made a video (fingers included) to show you all about it. I was going to make a video but I cant get my hands on it long enough to do so.
Daughters Review (paraphrased): I love my zuppie, give it back its mine. I don't care about your stupid review but I'll help you make a video.
4 Stars for making a cute toy that young (5-7) kids will probably love, not 5 because I see the magic quickly wearing off and getting it to do anything but blink and make noise is somewhat difficult (again for us older folks).
