For the money, this is a good deal. Of course you're not going to get a Fender or even a Squire for this little money, but what you will get is a playable instrument. The one that I got, has everything done decently on it. The body is probably paulownina (a very light weight wood.) The neck is some kind of hardwood (maple?) The pickups are mediocre, but work. The tuners are passable. The pots and switches work just fine. If you just want a guitar to fool around on, or to learn with, this will FILL the bill. I plan to add an aftermarket pickup in the neck position, and use it as my casual guitar (jam sessions). If you're on a tight budget, or just want to experiment with guitar, this will work. If you want a better instrument, look at the Squire Bullet series guitars.
