Great addition to my 2004 Toyota Tacoma

I've had this for only a week and already i can not understand all the bad reviews. I don't know what other people are using for a phone but i use an iphone SE. I can connect to my camera from in the house. I don't understand the connection complaints. i have learned the distance i need in order for the the camera to be up and running by the time i need it. It's not connected to the car's revers so you have to plan ahead it's not like the factory installed model. I use siri to open the app "hey siri open zus" app opens I click the camera on the car. Sometimes it connects right away to the wifi others it gives me an option to go directly to my wifi settings to change the source. I then say again "hey siri open zus and its up and running. I placed it on the top of the plate so it makes it easy for me to back up to my trailer,I can see the top of the ball. I've used it quite a bit this week and haven't used much of the battery. It really is easy to attach to your vehicle. I'm going to suggest buying but keep your eyes on the road when getting it up and running.

Satisfied customer

Got this at the store after I really liked the ZUS FM adapter. I usually let my bf handle all of the electronics, but the packaging made it look pretty easy to install, so I gave it a try. The ZUS app also showed an installation video which helped a lot. All in all, it took me the advertised time. So far I really like using it on my iPhone 6. The resolution of the rear view is pretty good. The only thing is that I need to open the app every time to activate the screen - but given that it's wireless (and I definitely don't want to drill any holes on my car) and for the price, I'm overall happy with my purchase.

Pretty close to perfect

I was a beta tester for this device, and I can say that the unfinished product was very close to perfect. I really like the minimalist design that they have with their products. My only issue was the night vision wasn't that bright unless you had your reverse lights and brake lights on, but some cars are brighter than others so your mileage my vary. Will updated when I buy the complete and finished product!

Please avoid at all cost

What can you say about a wireless backup camera that doesn't hold a charge for more than a week, its painful to connect and has video lag when you can finally use it? Seems well constructed and the iOS app looks great, but 1 out of 10 times it didn't connect at all. The couple of times I was able to use it the image freezes and you don't have a clue how close you are to the object/car behind you. The manual says the battery should last 3 MONTHS. I really don't know how they got that number, but after using it merely three time in one week I had to recharge it. I really want a backup camera that doesn't require professional installation, but it seems that's the only way you'll get something that simply works as expected. Already tried contacting the manufacturer and after receiving two responses and sending a couple of images showing that the required WiFi connection doesn't even appear they haven't contacted me again.
The packaging was very eye appealing. I feel like the average consumer would understand exactly what they were buying from the box itself. The parts inside were all labeled very clearly as well. When I first installed the camera, the app was not working at the time. Consequently, the installation process took about 30 minutes in total as I tried to figure out the process from the box alone (using the back of the box and the inside of the box). Once the app was able to work on my iPhone, I went through the installation directions on the app to compare projected time of installation. If I was able to use the app at the time of installation, I estimate I would have installed the camera in 10-15 minutes. The directions were clear and diagrammed the different types of license plates well. The camera itself feels very very secure in the mount. So far, the only issues I have had while using the camera is reconnecting the wifi, however it is not a major issue. Using the camera for the past two weeks has been very easy. It turns my 2004 car into a modern smart car. My phone is mounted on my dash anyway so it is a great solution. Calibrating the lines was very easy and only took me a minute.
