I've had this for only a week and already i can not understand all the bad reviews. I don't know what other people are using for a phone but i use an iphone SE. I can connect to my camera from in the house. I don't understand the connection complaints. i have learned the distance i need in order for the the camera to be up and running by the time i need it. It's not connected to the car's revers so you have to plan ahead it's not like the factory installed model. I use siri to open the app "hey siri open zus" app opens I click the camera on the car. Sometimes it connects right away to the wifi others it gives me an option to go directly to my wifi settings to change the source. I then say again "hey siri open zus and its up and running. I placed it on the top of the plate so it makes it easy for me to back up to my trailer,I can see the top of the ball. I've used it quite a bit this week and haven't used much of the battery. It really is easy to attach to your vehicle. I'm going to suggest buying but keep your eyes on the road when getting it up and running.

Decent Quality For Hitching Camera
My first impression of the quality of the camera was it was well made. It has a little weight to it, and felt solid in my hands. Backup camera was well packaged and came with every mounting option you will need for pretty much any vehicle. Instructions show different mounting options based on whether or not your state has registration stickers on top of plate or the bottom and if you use 2 screw holes or 4 to mount your plate. Instructions for my truck show to use all four screws to mount camera. This option did not work for me, as camera view was very low as others have said showing pretty much nothing but bumper and hitch. I mounted it again using the included pad that adhesives to both back of license plate and bumper to lift camera angle. The attached picture shows both the quality of video and camera view after I added the adhesive foam pad to lift camera angle. Camera does have about 1 to 2 second lag, but when using mirrors in connection to camera its not that bad. Others have mentioned hard to connect and dropped video feed. I have not had that problem. Just remember to leave both your wifi and bluetooth on and camera is a little slow to connect sometimes taking up to a minute to connect. Once again not a huge issue if you turn it on before reaching your destination. If your vehicle has its own wifi service such as mine, I have to manually disconnect from truck wifi and click on camera wifi to make the connection. The camera does have an option to switch to low light or you can put in the start and stop time and camera will do it automatically for you. So would I recommend this camera? If you want something simple, easy to use, not that expensive, and easy install and has decent picture quality or someone who is looking for an affordable solution to help hitch up your trailer then yes. If your someone who cant drive and don't do well with backing distances and would rely solely on the use of this to back up, then no.
Great back up camera for hitching
Simple to install the app and connect to my phone. Works exactly as described off the Bluetooth on my Samsung phone. Check where you will be attaching this BU camera. Some buyers complained that when mounted on the license plate, the angle of the camera shows a lot pf bumper. I bought this only as a hitching tool, so I get around the bumper issue by using heavy duty Velcro and attach the BU camera on the bumper level with the hitch ball, back in, hitch EZ, then pop the BU camera off to store in the glove compartment until next time I need it. There was also a complaint about having to remove the BU camera to recharge the batteries every couple of months. If I intended to leave the camera in place, I would have gone with a wired BU camera for sure, but there is a battery charge icon on the app, so you can easily monitor when you need to recharge. For me, it’s a nonissue, since the camera isn’t screwed in place. For the price, I found this little BU camera totally met my needs with the least hassle to set up and maintain.
