I got this for my daughters room and made her put it together. Now she is 22 but is fresh out of College and hasn't put much for furniture together and she had this done in less then 30 minutes.
The frame came together with ease, she did need to use the included rubber hammer, but it didn't take much hammering. And she plans on keeping the hammer, one because it is pretty but manly because it is a well made hammer with some weight to it.
There are plenty of metal slats to support the mattress with no worries. And yes it is all metal.
There are 6 legs that screw in to the frame. And with the height my cats can still go under to hide with no issues, or for storage of shoes and such.
The skirting cover/fabric was all one piece and went on very easy, it hooks under frame to keep it all in place.
We went with the blue and it looks really nice. Looks much better then I was expecting.
If your looking for a low cost platform bedframe so you can ditch the box spring then this is a good one to get.
